She was like the sun
By Tori Jordan, 9th Grade
She was like the sun. Beautiful and bright, but if you looked
for too long you couldn’t see her anymore.
She was like the wind; setting sails and breaking branches.
She was like the rain
after a drought but the fear of getting wet.
She was a girl who got told
the only way to find love was to look the part.
Flaws could only exist internally.
Though her mind was a book full of wonders and love,
they judged her by the cover.
